DUBAI \u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Tensions across the Persian Gulf have sharply escalated as Iran has launched missile and drone attacks against U.S. allies in the region, raising concerns about the security of American military personnel, critical infrastructure and one of the world\u2019s most important energy corridors.<\/p>\n

The latest escalation follows renewed fighting between the United States and Iran after a period of reduced hostilities. Iranian forces have targeted U.S. military interests and allied positions in several Gulf countries, including Kuwait and Bahrain, both of which host American military facilities.<\/p>\n

Kuwaiti authorities have reported missile and drone attacks and said their air-defense systems were responding to incoming threats. Bahrain has also reported attacks as Iran retaliated following U.S. strikes on Iranian targets. U.S. Military Bases Remain on High Alert<\/h3>\n

Reuters reported that Brent crude approached $100 a barrel on Sept. 8 as investors assessed the risks to Gulf energy infrastructure and shipping. Regional governments remain on heightened alert as military exchanges continue. Authorities are urging civilians to follow official instructions and avoid military facilities or restricted areas.<\/p>\n

With American forces stationed across the Gulf and Iran continuing to threaten U.S. interests and regional allies, further attacks could broaden the conflict and increase pressure on governments seeking to protect their populations, infrastructure and commercial shipping.<\/p>\n
